Following the Crew's 3-0 win against D.C. United on Saturday night, the Black & Gold's reserves returned to action on Sunday morning to take on the West Virginia University Mountaineers at Crew Stadium. Fueled by first half goals from Ryan Finley and Ethan Finlay and second half tallies by way of Aaron Schoenfeld and Bernardo Anor, the Crew topped the Mountaineers 4-0.

The Black & Gold reserves take on the New York Red Bulls in a return to MLS Reserve League action Saturday evening following the First Team's match against New York (4:00 p.m. ET/NBC Sports Network).

Jared Montz, former MLS player and founder of OnlineSoccerAcademy.com, visited Columbus for his series “Soccer Walking America.” The 45-day, 15-city video series tour promotes World Malaria Day and hits every MLS city in the U.S.

Check out his visit to Crew Stadium and club training as he juggles with Black & Gold players Dominic Oduro, Ben Speas, Konrad Warzycha and Wil Trapp.

Major League Soccer released its annual player world map, and results boasts players born in 61 different countries.

Crew include international players from Argentina (F. Higuain & M. Sanchez), Brazil (Glauber), Cameroon (T. Tchani), Canada (Beckie), Costa Rica (J. Arrieta), Ghana (D. Oduro), Poland (K. Warzycha) Trinadad & Tobago (K. Geroge), Venezula (B. Anor).

Following the announcement from U.S. Soccer that Columbus Crew Stadium will host the USA vs. Mexico 2014 World Cup Qualifier on September 10, Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman expressed his sentiments on the fixture’s positive impact on the city of Columbus.
 
"This is fantastic news for our soccer fans and for our entire community,” Mayor Coleman said. “This will not only be an exciting soccer match, but an outstanding opportunity to showcase the City of Columbus to the entire world.”
