Time Warner Cable SportsChannel is set to carry 33 of the Crew’s 34 2014 MLS regular-season contests, with the exception of the May 4 match at Sporting Kansas City (NBC Sports Network). All Black & Gold contests on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel are being bolstered by expanded pre and post-match coverage, including a half-hour pre-match show – featuring content from Time Warner Cable’s signature soccer studio show, “Center Circle” – and a post-match breakdown to conclude the action.
2014 marks the first year of this partnership with the newly established 95.5 The Game scheduled to air the club’s full 34-match Major League Soccer schedule, beginning March 8, 2014 at D.C. United.
Launched on April 1, 2013, 95.5 The Game specializes in local and regional sports content, highlighted by current partnerships as the radio home of the National Football League’s Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association. The Black & Gold join these historic Ohio franchises as the station’s first Columbus-based professional sports partner.
As part of the new agreement, each Crew contest will be accompanied by a half-hour pre-match show and a half-hour post-match wrap-up. Additionally, the Crew and 95.5 The Game are partnering on new shoulder programming and digital content initiatives. Details surrounding these elements will be released ahead of the 2014 season.
La Mega 103.1 FM is the Spanish radio home of the Crew. 2014 marks the eleventh consecutive year that the Crew has aired its games in Spanish on Columbus radio. Carlos Cordova provides La Mega's play-by-play coverage, with Benny Pietrangelo working as an analyst alongside Juan Valladares on sideline duty.
Inside the Crew
The Crew’s weekly 60-minute feature show, Inside the Crew, returns in 2014 with a new timeslot, talent team and location on the radio dial. On Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. ET on 95.5 The Game, Neil Sika and longtime TV analyst Dwight Burgess are set to provide reaction and analysis surrounding the club, complete with interviews from current Crew personnel and opposing players and coaches.
