Dayton Dutch Lions FC fell 5-1 at home to the Richmond Kickers over the weekend. Crew loanee Kevan George went the full 90 minutes at centerback for the home side, while Aaron Schoenfeld and Ryan Finley each saw action in the Dutch Lions' attack.
Dayton returns to action on Sunday when it hosts the Charleston Battery.
Hector Jimenez’s goal against D.C. on April 19 was the fifth of his career and first in a Crew jersey -- coming at the perfect time in the 90th minute of the match to secure a 1-1 draw. The goal also marked the fifth Crew player to score in 2014 as Jimenez, Justin Meram and Jairo Arrieta each have a goal. Those three players trail Bernardo Anor (two goals) and Federico Higuain (four goals) on the team’s leaderboard.
Thierry Henry did not record a shot in his last visit to Crew Stadium on May 4, 2013 (and did not play in the last meeting of 2013). Limiting his effectiveness is an obvious strategy as the Frenchman has only played two total matches at Crew Stadium. Henry’s only other match in Columbus was lethal for the Black & Gold, as Henry’s brace gave New York a 4-1 win at Crew Stadium on April 7, 2012.

Matt Lampson invited 4-year-old ALL survivor Marley Phillips and her family to Crew Stadium Saturday night for the team’s matchup with D.C. United.
After enjoying an exciting finish from the sidelines, Matt met with the family to offer words of encouragement and advice to Marley.
Looking to continue the Hero program that Lampson started during the 2013 season, the goalkeeper will be working with LLS to invite a child and their family to every home and away match during the 2014 season.
