In partnership with Lifeline of Ohio and the Ohio Hispanic Coalition, the Crew completed its Three Kings Toy Drive on January 4 by handing out toys to Hispanic families in need. The event’s festivities included distribution of over 600 toys, a live play, the traditional roscas de reyes, and the presence of the Three Kings joined by Crew Cat and Honey Bee.
During the month of December, Lifeline of Ohio and the Black & Gold worked to share the joy of the holidays with the youth of Columbus by collecting new unwrapped toys at La Michoacana locations and through individual donations. A special “Thank You” goes out to the generous donation from Ronin Training Center and their associates.
Chris Previte, Vice President, Corporate Partnerships of the Columbus Crew said the event is always a favorite because it brings the community together through gift-giving and receiving to celebrate a joyous holiday tradition.
“We are delighted to participate in an event that impacts so many children. We are proud to be active locally within the Hispanic community and equally proud to work with our partners Lifeline of Ohio and La Michoacana to deliver joy this holiday season.”
Donate Life hopes you will also “Share the Gift” of life by registering to be an organ and tissue donor after death. One donor has the potential to save eight lives by donating organs and enhance 50 more lives with donated tissue.
