Though the First Team’s season has come to an end, the final Black & Gold match of 2013 is taking place tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. ET at the Crew’s Obetz Training Facility. A side composed of Academy players and guest players will lineup against trialists for newly minted NASL side Indy 11. The game is being opened to the public, so fans interested in attending are welcome to watch the Crew one final time this year. Those making the trip should park in the lot on the training complex’s west side between the two practice fields, accessing the facility through the center gate. Fans are asked to sit on the bleachers on the opposite side of the team benches.
Federico Higuaín's chips against the New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC are among the final tallies revealed in MLSSoccer.com's AT&T Goal of the Year competition. Higuaín's Week-24 chip over New York 'keeper Luis Robles lands in Group M with TFC's Jonathan Osorio' s left-footed strike against the Red Bulls, Whitecaps FC's Kenny Miller's top-corner tally against the New England Revolution and the Colorado Rapids' Gabriel Torres' left-footed laser versus Vancouver. The Argentine's second jaw-dropping chip to help down Toronto FC in Week 25 is up against the Portland Timbers' Kalif Alhassan's volley versus Toronto, Red Bull midfielder Tim Cahill's seven-second strike against the Houston Dynamo and Sporting KC midfielder Benny Feilhaber's rip against Colorado.
