Stadium Policies
GATE CONTRABAND CONTROL
No bottles, cans, coolers, containers, food or beverages of any kind, powdered substances and professional cameras. No flag poles of any kind, unless approved in advance, seat cushions with backs, firearms, concealed carry firearms, knives or any other weapon or items deemed to be inappropriate or dangerous by the club or venue management. No fireworks of any kind including but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, pyrotechnics or any other incendiary device. No aerosol cans, pressurized containers, air horns, whistles, laser pointers or any item that may interfere with the event. All items brought into the stadium are subject to search at any time. Anyone with an item that does not pass security measures will be asked to either take the item back to their vehicle or dispose of it. Purses, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags or any other bags may be brought into the stadium, but will be thoroughly searched at the bag inspection area. Banners are encouraged, provided they are not commercial, offensive or in poor taste. Banners may not obstruct the view of any guests, cover any stadium signage or present any safety hazards. Security parameters are subject to change at any time.
ALCOHOL POLICY
Guests must comply with all stadium alcohol policies. Guests must be 21 years or older to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages on stadium grounds.
BANNER POLICY
Banners are encouraged provided they are not commercial, offensive, or in poor taste. Banners may not obstruct the view of any guests, stadium signage, or present any safety hazards. You may hold your banner or flag high, but for safety reasons, may not attach it to a pole.
CAMERAS / VIDEO EQUIPMENT
Cameras and hand-held video cameras are permitted in the stadium. Photography or video may not be used to reproduce the game for commercial purposes.
GATES OPEN
Gates open 90 minutes before kick off or event time.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Please contact the nearest usher immediately so they may contact on-site Red Cross and Emergency Medical Technicians to assist with any emergency situations.
RE-ENTRY POLICY
There is a no re-entry policy. If there is a medical emergency please visit guest services.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted in the seating areas or near the railings above the seating areas.
STADIUM
The 22,555 seat Columbus Crew Stadium is located on the Ohio Expo Center grounds. The playing field is 75 yards wide x 115 yards long. The stadium may also be used for concerts, rugby, football, lacrosse, field hockey, and many other events.
STAY OFF THE FIELD
Please do not go onto the playing field at anytime. Anyone entering the field without proper credentials will be subject to removal from the stadium.
TICKET OFFICE
Normal business hours:
Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm
GAMEDAY HOURS
Monday - Friday: 9:00am - End of Halftime
Saturday - Sunday: 10:00am - End of Halftime
UMBRELLAS
Umbrellas may be brought into the stadium, but are not permitted to be open or used if they obstruct the comfort and sightlines of other guests. In the event of inclement weather, we encourage guests to bring raincoats or ponchos
USHERS
Please contact the nearest usher to request medical assistance or register complaints about objectionable behavior by other spectators.
Directions
From the North
Make your way to I-71 South (for those coming from outside Columbus, I-71 South runs between Cleveland and Columbus) Take I-71 South towards downtown Columbus, past the north outerbelt Exit I-71 South at the 17th Ave exit (just after the Hudson St. exit, and before the 11th Ave exit) Turn right at the end of the ramp onto 17th Ave
If you're coming for a stadium event, follow directions from traffic personnel. If not, read on Stay in the right two lanes on 17th Ave - they will turn right towards the Ohio Historical Society building, a large squat brown brick and concrete building The access road will gently curve left to go behind the OHS building - follow that curve and the stadium should be readily visible before you.
From the East
Make your way to I-70 West (for those coming from outside Columbus, I-70 West runs between Pittsburgh and Columbus) Take I-70 West towards downtown Columbus, past the outerbelt. Stay in the right lanes and look for signs for I-71 North Take the I-71 North exit at downtown Columbus, and stay on I-71 North until you get to the 17th Ave exit (just after the 11th Ave exit, and before the Hudson St exit) Turn left at the end of the ramp onto 17th Ave
