Crew vs. Impact Match Moved to Sunday at 12:00 p.m. ET

Match postponed due to poor weather conditions in Quebec

Major League Soccer announced that Saturday’s Eastern Conference match between the Columbus Crew and the Montreal Impact has been postponed due to inclement weather conditions in Montreal, Quebec. The game at Stade Saputo – previously scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 13 – is now slated for Sunday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. ET (FOX Sports Ohio).

Snow began falling in Montreal this morning, with accumulations of six to nine inches (15-25 centimeters) predicted, along with the possibility of rainfall, through Saturday afternoon.

“Based on the snow that already has fallen in Montreal, and the forecast for the next 18-24 hours, the weather conditions will hamper efforts to clear the field and the stadium. We believe a high probability exists that the field would be unplayable at the game’s originally scheduled time of Saturday at 2:00 p.m.,” said Nelson Rodríguez, MLS Executive Vice President of Competition and Game Operations. “We appreciate the coordinated efforts of both clubs and our television partners in helping us arrive at the solution of playing the game Sunday at noon.”

FOX Sports Ohio is set to televise the game regionally, with Dwight Burgess and Duncan Oughton on the call.  Neil Sika is calling the action for 610 AM WTVN, with Carlos Cordovoa behind the microphone for La Mega 103.1 FM.
