Columbus Crew supporters,

Today, my family and I introduced Anthony Precourt as the new investor-operator of the Columbus Crew. Anthony is a bright, passionate, driven leader, and we believe he will be a great fit for the Crew. We are delighted to welcome him as a partner in MLS, and I am confident that he will do an outstanding job leading the club in the future.

Although we are very pleased to welcome Anthony to MLS, today marks a very emotional day for me and my family. Since the earliest days of Major League Soccer, the Columbus Crew has been a beloved part of our family and the source of some of our most cherished memories.

From welcoming Brian McBride as the first-ever draft pick in MLS history and helping propel the U.S. Men’s National Team to three World Cups with victories over “El Tri,” to raising the Nordecke, the MLS Cup and an iconic stadium that would transform the trajectory of professional soccer in the United States  – you have always Dared to be Massive.

On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank the city of Columbus, the state of Ohio, the Crew players, coaches and staff, our partners, and most importantly, the Crew supporters for helping to cultivate one of the most iconic clubs in MLS. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to be a part of it.

Sincerely,

Clark Hunt and the Hunt family
