Crew becomes first Major League Soccer Club to partner with Sportsdigita

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Crew today announced that it has become the first Major League Soccer club to partner with interactive sports agency Sportsdigita to launch ticket renewals, as well as season ticket and group sales platforms. The Minneapolis, Minnesota-based company has already launched the Crew’s 2014 season ticket renewal program, providing season ticket members with a digitally based interactive portal to customize their buying experience and share their team pride with friends through social media.

Sportsdigita focuses on digital sponsorship, ticketing and fan engagement for professional sports teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, Utah Jazz, Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, Chicago White Sox, New York Giants and San Jose Sharks. Crucial to the buying experience is also a dedicated account manager to assist in each step of the process.

After rolling out the club’s season ticket renewal program using Sportsdigita, the Crew has also teamed with the company to generate interactive platforms for new season ticket and group sales.

As the club announced in August, since launching the Crew’s Goal 10K initiative (10,000 Crew Soccer Nation season ticket members) prior to the 2012 season, the Crew has grown its season ticket base by more than 55 percent – a mark that ranks near the top of non-expansion MLS teams in season ticket growth over that period. 2013 new season tickets set an all-time Crew record, besting the 2012 record. Corporate support has been the hub of that success, growing the club’s corporate season ticket base by almost 200% in the last two years.
