The Black & Gold's Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter was a featured guest on Monday's edition of MLSsoccer.com's Extra Time Radio podcast. Hosts Nick Firchau and Simon Borg talk to the Crew's new boss about his international background and assess how Berhalter's "wealth of experience and knowledge" will pay dividends in his first year in Columbus.

Ahead of today's introductory press conference at Crew Stadium, TheCrew.com's Cody Sharrett caught up with Gregg Berhalter to get his take on the city and the organization on his first day in Columbus. "I've always liked the sense of community that Columbus Crew has had," said Berhalter. "There are very nice people around the organization, but playing in the stadium you feel there's a community behind the team."

From his role as a leader on the pitch to his work in the community as the official spokesperson for the Central Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Matt Lampson’s drive and tireless work ethic is a testament to his character and mentality on and off the field. Recently, CBS aired its latest installment of their nationally-televised program Game Changers where they highlighted Lampson’s  moving story about ‘the fight inside of all of us.’

Just seven hours after being released, the second phase of tickets for the 2014 FIFA World Cup – totaling 230,000 tickets – sold out on FIFA’s website Monday evening. In total, FIFA has received 6.1 billion ticket requests for World Cup tickets – more than double the quantity available. The Associated Press has more on FIFA’s reaction and why the record level of interest in the 2014 World Cup is nothing short of impressive.
