Adam Jardy's fan-voted year-end awards lead Tuesday's news

The Black & Gold announced their team awards for 2013 on October 22 as Designated Player Federico Higuain was named Barbasol Most Valuable Player. Adam Jardy of The Columbus Dispatch took reader votes and published the outlet’s fan-voted version of the year-end superlatives.

Last week FutbolMLS.com announced their 32 finalists for Latino del Año 2013 which is awarded to Major League Soccer’s top Latin American player this season. Black & Gold players Federico Higuain and Jairo Arrieta are in contention for the honor and are in voting Groups E and B respectively. Voting began yesterday and runs through Wednesday, November 6, so be sure to cast your vote for both players on their successful 2013 campaigns.

On Wednesday, the second leg Eastern Conference Semifinal action resumes as Sporting Kansas City hosts New England at 8 p.m. ET and Houston will travel to Red Bull Arena to face the Red Bulls for a 9 p.m. ET first kick.
