2013 (Toronto FC): Rey made 13 appearances – including nine starts – in his first season in MLS with Toronto FC and recorded one goal and one assist. He made his MLS debut in a substitute appearance against the Crew (July 27). He recorded his first career assist in the match against Sporting KC (September 21) and added his first career goal in MLS in the club’s next match, against D.C. United (September 28) in a 4-1 Toronto win.
2012-2013 (Xerez): In one season with Spanish side Zerez, Rey scored three goals in 28 appearances.
2010-2012 (Gimnàstic de Tarragona): Rey’s professional career began at Gimnàstic de Tarragona, also in Spain. In two seasons with his first club, the winger made 54 appearances and recorded one tally.
