2013 (Halmstads BK): Upon promotion to the First-Division Allsvenskan, the midfielder notched one goal in 19 appearances as Halmstads BK finished in 14th place.

2012 (Halmstads BK): After a successful tenure in his native country, Steindorsson transfered to Swedish Second-Division side Halmstads BK before the 2012 campaign. He scored seven goals in 29 appearances over his debut Swedish season. He helped the club to a third place finish and eventual promotion after it defeated GIF Sundsvall in a two-legged playoff.

2011 (Breidablik): The midfielder again notched double figures in goals as he recorded 11 in 22 matches during his final season in Iceland. Although the Icelandic club fell to Norwegian side Rosenborg in the 2011-12 UEFA Champions League Second Qualifying Round on aggregate, Steindorsson started both matches, scoring his first UEFA Champions League goal in the second leg.

2010 (Breidablik): Steindorsson led Breidablik to the Urvalsdeild title while scoring a single-season best 12 goals in 22 appearances. Breidablik tied FH for the league lead in points with 44, but won the title on goal difference with a +24 margin. The title ensured passage to the 2011-12 UEFA Champions League Second Qualifying Round. Steindorsson also made his European debut by making two appearances in the 2010-11 Europa League Second Qualifying Round against Scottish club Motherwell.

2009 (Breidablik): The midfielder broke out to the tune of eight goals in 22 appearances, helping Breidablik finish in fifth place, securing a spot in the 2010-11 UEFA Europa League Qualifying Round. Steindorsson also helped his club capture the Icelandic Cup after Breidablik defeated Fram in the final on penalties.

2008 (Breidablik): Steindorsson made his senior team debut for the Icelandic club at the age of 17, making six appearances.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Steindorsson has earned one cap for his native Iceland. He received his first-ever call-up to the Iceland National Team senior roster on January 9, 2015 ahead of two international friendlies against Canada. He earned his first cap on January 16, 2015 against Canada, scoring a goal in his debut appearance as part of a 2-1 win.

The midfielder has made numerous appearances for the Iceland Youth National Teams, scoring five times for the Under-17s and once for the U-21s. He appeared in qualification matches for both the 2013 and 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championships, scoring his lone U-21 goal in an 8-0 win over San Marino ahead of the 2011 tournament.

In his spare time, Steindorsson enjoys playing golf, occasionally playing video games and enjoying life in general. He is a fan of the NFL and specifically the New England Patriots, as Tom Brady was one of the first players he watched regularly when he first began to follow the league. His favorite soccer club while growing up was Liverpool, and his favorite player is Andres Iniesta as he attempts to emulate his style of play. His favorite memory from his career is shared between winning the Icelandic Cup in 2009, winning the Urvalsdeild in 2010 and achieving promotion with Halmstads BK after the 2012 season.
