PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2015 (Columbus): Campbell made one appearance (one start) at centerback in 2015, his rookie season. He came on at halftime in the club’s international friendly vs. Valencia CF (May 27). The defender made his first MLS start and appearance at Philadelphia (June 3). He earned a call-up by Jamaica ahead of two 2018 FIFA World Cup qualfiying matches against Nicaragua. He was loaned to Crew SC’s USL affiliate, Austin, on September 8, starting two contests for the Aztex, at Seattle Sounders FC 2 (September 17) and at Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (September 20). Campbell did not make an appearance in either the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs or the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

2014 (University of Connecticut): The Jamaican played his third and final season for UConn, making all 19 starts for the Huskies. He captured the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year Award, and he was also named to the American Athletic Conference All-First Team for the second consecutive season. He helped the Huskies earn nine shutouts on the year, while conceding just two goals over the team's final seven matches. He added his second career assist.

2013 (University of Connecticut): The defender started every match in his second season with Connecticut (23 in all), helping the team notch 12 clean sheets over the season. He earned American Athletic Conference All-First Team honors. He also registered his first career collegiate assist.

2012 (University of Connecticut): Campbell transferred to the University of Connecticut prior to the 2012 season, where he helped lead a UConn defense that earned a total of 12 shutouts while starting all 22 matches.

2011 (University of Central Arkansas): Campbell began his collegiate career with the University of Central Arkansas, where he made eight appearances (seven starts).

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

The defender has earned two caps for the Jamaican National Team, with both coming in the 2010 Caribbean Championship. Previously, he was a member of the Jamaican U-15, U-17 and U-20 sides, including wearing the captain's armband for the U-20s.

On August 28, 2015, he was called-up by Jamaica ahead of two matches against Nicaragua as part of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He did not appear in either contest as Jamaica advanced to the Fourth Round of qualifying. He earned another call-up on September 29, 2015 ahead of a Reggae Boyz friendly against South Korea in Seoul (October 13).

Off the field, Campbell likes to hang out with his friends while doing activities like playing basketball or badminton. Growing up, he was a fan of FC Barcelona. His favorite all-time player is former French international Zinedine Zidane. His favorite TV show is the Walking Dead and his favorite movie is Lone Survivor. If he weren't a soccer player, he would like to pursue a career in the military, such as becoming a Navy SEAL. His uncle is current Jamaican National Team captain Roldoph Austin, and his favorite soccer memory was playing for the Senior Team in the 2010 Caribbean Cup alongside him.
