IMG Academy, Eastern Hub for MLS Preseason, set to host series of preseason games in Bradenton, Fla.

BRADENTON, Fla. – Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs are set to arrive in Bradenton, Fla. beginning this month where they will train and compete in a series of friendlies among each other and a number of international clubs at IMG Academy. Soccer fans in the area will have an opportunity to see MLS clubs like Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, D.C. United, FC Dallas, New England Revolution and Toronto FC up close and personal on select dates throughout January and February.

Games will be played in IMG Academy’s new state-of-the-art stadium. Tickets start as low as $9 for children, $13 for adults and $11 for seniors, with season pass and family ticket package options also available. Tickets can be purchased via the IMG Academy website at www.imgacademy.com/events Look for more information in the coming weeks regarding special community nights. Spectators should utilize the Bollettieri Blvd./43rd St. W. entrance of IMG Academy for access to the stadium.

During the MLS Preseason in Bradenton, Fla., aspiring players can also sign up for exclusive MLS Experience Camps at IMG Academy, available for both boys and girls.

The MLS Preseason Bradenton is made possible by the support of the Bradenton Area CVB. A portion of the ticket sales will be given to the Bradenton Area EDC.

IMG Academy is home to the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team. The campus also annually hosts professional teams in a myriad of sports. Individual MLS clubs have trained at IMG Academy, as have international clubs such as Sweden’s Malmö FF, England’s Tottenham Hotspur, and Brazil’s Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. Additionally, IMG Academy is the host site for the United Soccer League’s (USL) largest events, including the Super-Y and Super-20 North American Finals, the W-League and W-20 Championships, PRO Combine, Olympic Development Program camp, and more.
