Stadium Event Staff Positions

Job Summary for all Event Staff Positions:
All Event Staff positions are responsible for providing World Class Service to the guests at Columbus Crew Stadium by ensuring guest feel welcome and they leave with a long lasting, positive impression (memorable experience).  These positions act as a resource and host to guests visiting the Stadium by maintaining a working knowledge of our facility and events.  America’s Hardest Working Event Staff members play a vital role when it comes to creating a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for our fans and guests.  They serve as the main point of contact for all guest requests/needs and then pursue the issue to the resolution.  The members of the Event Staff must exhibit courteous hospitality at all times and be proactive in every area while conducting themselves in a manner in which Lamar Hunt* would have envisioned.  A very high level of customer service aptitude is essential for all of these positions.  Upon hire, all employees will be expected to be available for no less than 80% of all events, and able to pass a full background check.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Always conduct yourself and your affairs in the manner in which Lamar Hunt* would have envisioned
  • Provide highest level of service to ensure guests’ expectations are exceeded and overall experience at Crew Stadium is positive and memorable
  • Ensures all guest are greeted upon arrival and first impression standards are met
  • Thank all guests for attending our events
  • Demonstrates Fan First initiatives in customer interactions for all Stadium events
  • Must handle any and all guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner while offering each guest superior and individualized service
  • Scan tickets for entry with a smile and friendly greeting
  • With a smile and friendly greeting check all tickets to ensure our Ticket Integrity Policy is being enforced and proper guests are entering our premium areas
  • Remains in designated position during scheduled event time unless redeployed by supervisor or full time Crew staff member
  • Learn the layout of Crew Stadium and re-direct guests to the correct location when assistance is needed
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the building policies, procedures and event information
  • Enforce all stadium policies and procedures during an event to assure the safety and security of all guests
  • Communicate effectively with all other event day and Crew staff
  • Handle complaints and resolve issues in the best way possible
  • Assist guests with disabilities in the ADA sections

Required skills, experience & abilities
(To perform this job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this job.)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States (proof of eligibility will be required prior to beginning work)
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in excess of 8 hours and may include walking long distances and climbing stairs
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 80% of all scheduled Stadium events
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions that would include the extreme heat, cold , rain, sleet, snow and in direct sunlight
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service while being fully focused on the Fan Experience
  • Must be outgoing, friendly and able to work under pressure with the ability to deal with problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow oral and written instructions to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from our guests
  • Must be able to make direct eye contact, greet, welcome and thank all guests
